In a visual as well as musical career spanning 30 years, Bruce Tinch has committed his life to art. He intimately paints his emotional response to the physical world.

After receiving a B.F.A. from Lamar University, Bruce went on to Southern Methodist University and earned his M.F.A. While at S.M.U., Bruce developed a real love for the quality of paint, the beauty of nature, and the benefits of being dedicated to his work. During the many years of formal education, Bruce worked prolifically as a producing artist and his work was bought for private and corporate collections throughout the Southwest.

Bruce's career has taken many directions, which have led him to work with and be collected by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Reba McIntyre and ZZ Top.

Bruce managed the in-house advertising agency for international real estate developer Trammel Crow under Lucy Billingsley for five years. All the while, his heart’s passion to paint full-time continued to call him.

In 1990, Bruce’s dream came true. He and his wife and college sweetheart, Amy, completed his studio at their Texas retreat called Spirit Valley.

Environment feeds Bruce’s inspiration and along with the rolling hills and pine trees of East Texas, he also takes an annual trip to Kauai, Hawaii. In Kauai, Bruce has found a deep peace in paradise, which has expanded his depth of expression and continues to influence his work today.

In 1996, Lady Bird Johnson became interested in Bruce's painting while completing her new National Wildflower Research Center in Austin, Texas. Captivated by his style, she requested they have lunch and discuss art for the center.

Bruce was awarded the distinguished honor of representing the National Wildflower Research Center for all the graphic communications and merchandising materials. Bruce's work still hangs there today as well as in the LBJ Historical Museum in Johnson City.

Bruce Tinch has developed an intrinsic style, which speaks to the viewer and draws them into his world of color. His underlying strength in technical expertise and intelligent execution deliver tranquility and grace of the visual dance. His work is featured in collections around the world.
